Reverse light switch
On my 1971 C10 my reverse lights do not work. I found that I do not have the switch that mounts on the column. I have a three on the tree 3 speed. I have searched this forum and the usual websites (LMC, Brothers, Classic Industries), but I cannot find where to purchase a replacement switch and screw(s)??
Thank you for any and all help, Jeremy |

Re: Reverse light switch
I got the switch from LMC about a year ago, the screws I re-used from the broken switch. IIRC they were small, short hex head machine screws.
from LMC order: 36-0661 BACK UP LIGHT SWITCH 3 SPEED ($14.95)

Re: Reverse light switch
I got one for my 67 3ott from board vendor Wes at classic heartbeat and he's on your coast. Never bought from lmc and from all the members reviews I probably never will.

Re: Reverse light switch
Just went to the Classic Heartbeat Website, and he's only about a 4 hour drive from Vancouver BC. I take it his parts are of good quality?

Re: Reverse light switch
The GM part number is 3745921. The one in my truck was broken and I got a NOS one from eBay.
There is a square part that is covered in metal that actually sticks into the column and the plastic inside was broken.... |

Re: Reverse light switch
I just ordered one from Wes at classic heartbeat. I enjoyed supporting a member.
Now, does anyone know if it takes one or two screws? Sizes? Mine was missing so I don't have the original screws. Thank you for the continued help, Jeremy |

Re: Reverse light switch
There are two screws. Don't know the size off the top of my head, as I recall they were smaller (5/16 or 1/4 wrench/socket maybe) hex heads.
Sorry I can't be more helpful than that. from here thrd hex #6 1/4 #8 1/4 #10 5/16 #12 5/16
