Bad Hombre- 67 SWB Flat black, loud and low
This is a father and son project my dad and I are doing to spend time together and have some fun. Purchased back in 2014. We pretty much got a title, frame and a motor that sorta ran. Everything else has been swapped out or upgraded. Small back window 67. I was born in 67 so we picked it up for a song. Was intended to build for not a lot and make a few bucks. Well, you guys know how that goes. A lot more money later we love this thing and it has taken its maiden voyage but still working out braking and lighting issues.
After looking at some of these builds like Daves new 68 Chevy SWB, makes me want to tear this down and start all over. That thing is sick. We too, are working out of a small attached garage at my home w grinders, a welder and small plasma cutter. Pics below are the day we brought it home from my buddy's farm. |

Not going to type a lot, but here are a few pics of the progress over the last several years. We hit it hard some and took time off in between.
Frame prep and C Notch. Started w/ PB mid kit and ended up switching to bags and home made notch. |

Good times.

Few other thoughts after the fact. We went w/ flat black because not only do I hate body work, I also, am not very good at it. All painting was done by us in the driveway or garage and we used TP Tools Hot Rod black. The Raptor bedliner is very nice to work with too and also comes from TP.
