heater control knob

64 gmc. has the single cable pull twist control. I have a cable. Any idea where to find the knob? can't seem to find one

My chevy has one plastic knob in the dash that lights up where the controls usually go. That you turn to make the heat come on and then a different pull nob near the steering column that when you pull it, it turns on the defrosters. Is one of those what you are talking about?

Not sure about GMC but on my C10 I have the single cable/knob heater (Thrift Air) and also could not locate a knob. I finally bought a wiper knob that didn't have the hole meant for the washer button and it had a set screw to grip the shaft of the heater cable. Some headlight knobs also have a set screw that will work.

Mines the thrift air heater. one cable. pull the cable for heat and turn for fan speed. there is a lever under dash for defroster

yep, same heater. guess I'm gonna have to look at doin something like that too. can't believe someone doesn't make one

Just looked at a repop headlight knob from The Truck Shop I have and it has a allen key set screw so it may work.
