Stepside Bed Idead
Has anyone taken a fleetside and cut out a section in the to make it to the width of a stepside then added stepside fenders. True stepside bedsides look flimsy to me. This mod would look more like the later model beds but with the correct fender shape, especially if a some sort of step was grafted to the bed and fender.

It would have the same look as dually trucks that are made similar to that.

i think he means making it look like a newer stepside...it will have double walled fleetside bedsides (narrowed), with the fender from the stepside grafted onto the outside. i dont think i have ever seen anything like that, making a tailgate might be interesting.

But, would it be possible, or just not worth it. I am having a hard time picturing it in my head.

It's a catastrophic success.

I saw a 47-54 with a newer narrowed fleet side bed looked cool only the latch for the tailgate wasnt centered, I guess just hacked off one side, but if you got that far, mounting fenders on the side would be the easy part
