Hell Yeah! In that shape, it is worth more than $5000!
It looks like it is in great shape from here. If you can get the original carb back and have it rebuilt, that value would be even more. Write the check now and enjoy the ride.

Has the truck been in Michigan all it's life? If so, I'd bet part of that 78K miles & 34yrs worth of road time it's seen exposure to road salt. Looking @ the bottom of the rockers/front fenders indicates some rattle can coverage over something.
It's def not a bad deal to keep it in the family.

It looks like a good deal for everyone. Keep it in the family, wife is happy...build it with your son as he grows up. This is another opportunity to get some good father son time turning wrenches? GL and keep us updated?

More than worth the money and at $2500 you can afford to throw some aftermarket goodies on it to make it even better!
Tilt steering column, TH350 with a shift kit, things like that. |
