Newbie needs help on seats!

Working to fix up old family farm truck, long bed 1985. Problems with neck requires changing to seats with headrest. I have not been able to find anyone who can tell me what seats will fit or if headrests can be added to existing seats. Can anyone give me an idea on what will fit or who to contact for info. Thanks

Re: Newbie needs help on seats!

I've seeing mid 90's installed with some re-drilling for the brackets. They came with headrest.

I don't know your budget but her are a couple of places where you can find what you are looking for.
shop4seats.com
discountvantruck.com

Good luck

Re: Newbie needs help on seats!

My 86 had a 90's style seat in it from the PO. What they did was, they welded the seat tracks onto the 90's seat. That way the tracks lined up with the holes. Now any of the 90's Chevy bench style seats will fit in your 80's truck, it will just be the seat tracks you will have to work out.

You could probally find a nice set of tall back bucket seats out of a k5 or suburban they almost bolt in i think theres a couple little mounts welded to the floor you would have to get

The issue with later model seat the are not as wide as original. You will lose leg room with all bucket seats and most bench seats with head rest.

Re: Newbie needs help on seats!

I think the 90's seat is about the only one that doesn't lose leg room. That is my biggest criteria and why I have to rule out 90% of the seat mods other people use.
