Re: 72 chevy Cheyenne Super or 69 CST

Back in those days my trucks were far more important to me then girls and more was always better so buckets were (more) every body that was anybody drove a truck. So I had lots of em. New one every 2 years. Oh those were the good old days. Now I'm old and want a lot less and happier for it. Or maybe I just don't got the energy I once had.

The Cheyenne Super will have more "standard" upgrades that are part of the trim package (headliner, wood dash and gb trim, etc, bright tailgate handle cover (not that I'd buy a truck solely for it's tailgate handle cover...) and so on. But a CST is no slouch either - it was the top of the line trim in 69. The SPIDs are comparable, even though the 69's appears more full of stuff. I don't see them as all that different, option-wise. Sooo, it comes back to this basic question I believe:

What do you want more, and actually rare purple CST or disk brakes on a slightly more common but still top of the trim 72 (in a great color combo)?

I know which one I'd choose. Well, hmm, maybe I don't either! TOUGH one.
Ya that is a hard choice for me also the CST is in much better shape body wise that is and honestly the two colours I like on cars or trucks most are canary yellow first then a nice bright purple. And as far as restoring and kind of upgrading the breaks to disk breaks wouldn't be an issue to me. Of course I'd keep the factory drum breaks but up grading things like breaks I think most people wouldn't blame me for it.

I rather restore an old truck and drive it in the summers in good weather and drive a beater the rest of the time or take the bus even. I take great pleasure in seeing old cars and trucks rare or not get back to their glory. So I'm am simple in the sense that i enjoy working on these trucks myself, leaving about science and reading about mathematics....so I'm a nerd I guess ha ha ha

Well, with those two things in mind, this seems a no-brainer! Many would have an issue getting past purple, but some love it. Being in the latter category yourself, the better body to boot seems to make this an ideal deal for you. Enjoy that CST and show us some more pics when you get it.

Not to mention, well I guess I'm mentioning it, the 69 books out a lot higher than the 72.
