Homemade Winch Bumper
On Friday I am getting an 85 3/4 swb on 38s and it has some wickedly ugly bumpers on it. I need to make a new front and rear bumper. I need the front to hold a winch, 2 D-shackles, and maybe even the 4 KCS I have. The rear needs to hold 2 D-shackles and maybe 2 KCS. I know I can dream up something, but was looking for some pictures for ideas. Whos got em?

Like this? A through B and then weld on the bumper to the supports? What gauge metal would you recommend, and what size D-Shackles and a good cheap place to get D-Shackles. Sorry for so many questions, just the last think I want is to be winching and the bumper tear in half or worse. I really like that bumper though!

that would definatly work, as long as the welds were good the bumper shouldnt seperate the mounts. that looks to be basically the same design they have. where do you plan on mounting lights? and do you want a brush guard type design to say protect the winch and such? like the photoshopped version on that thread.
