Does anybody have this radio?

Does anybody have a 2002-2009 Trailblazer or Envoy? If so its likely you've needed to replace the radio knobs, as there is a factory flaw and all the paint flakes off. Looks awful. Fortunately, there are cheap replacement parts available:

My question is, how do you get the darn things off? I've been prying and struggling, but I can't seem to get my old worn out radio knobs off of the radio. And the last thing I want to do is break anything. Anybody know how to get these off?
