Windsheld washer switch trouble
I need help getting my windshield washer switch to work properly. I bought and installed a new switch and it operates the wipers as it should, but it does not operate the washer fluid when you press it in. However when I remove the switch from the truck and try it, it operates the washer fluid but not the wipers! Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks!

Re: Windsheld washer switch trouble
The washer/wiper switch grounds to the dash, so that might have something to do with your different results with removing and using the switch.

Re: Windsheld washer switch trouble
Thanks guys, I did some more research on this site and I learned that because the oem wiper washer was tied in to the wiper motor, and because I had installed an aftermarket washer motor, I had to ground the new washer motor to the original wiper motor for it to work properly. Ive got it hooked up now and it works as it should off the original switch
