Under dash bracket Q

Can anyone tell me what this bracket "is"?

I'm doing a 4L60e swap in my '72, & am making my own remote TPS set-up. I've got it Vicegripped to a bracket near the accelerator pedal, as seen in the pic. Just wondering what exactly I'm attaching to before I drill holes & mount the TPS. Looks like it's supposed to have something there that's missing?

Ah, OK. It's a factory 350/TH350 truck, so I guess that's why it's empty. Cool, I'll mount my TPS there, then.
