Cool, I have read that thread in the past. We do Atlas swaps in Landcruisers what a great motor. The 5 cylinder is our motor of choice though, it fits better in the Cruiser and has far better economy. |

I picked up a thrashed 08/09 motor a couple years ago. I bolted an AR5 to it and mounted it in the frame rails.
Upon further reflection, it became apparent that what it was going to take to make the 54 a runner again, is going to be mammoth. So it seems like a chassis swap is the better option. |

Biggest issue we ran into was oil pan fitment on with the 6 cylinders. We actually cut the pan in half length wise flipped it a welded it back together.
We have been talking about doing an Atlas in an AD, think it would be a great combo. |

Yeah, great power out of the 5cyl and 17-20 mpg in the FJ80 Landcruiser.

Currently focusing on turbo piping and front fender fitment around the wide track of the C5 Corvette. |
