Exclamation Larger Fuel Tank

Okay I got like a 20-21 gallon fuel tank and would like to have at least the 30+ gallon one.

Who makes these?

Or are they some from latter model vehicles that would be a drop in fit?

Thanks for any advise you can give.

My 72 has a 40+ gallon tank.....came in the truck when I bought it and it appears to be stock as all the vapor lines were still there......

Re: Larger Fuel Tank

Yeah I would love to have a 40 gallon tank but may settle on a 30+ gallon unit.

Keep those suggestions coming......

Re: Larger Fuel Tank

I put a 40 gal out of a '73 Suburban in my '71. I had to modify the filler tube and make brackets to hold the '73 straps, also I made wood blocks that screw into the floor and the tank rests against them.

Re: Larger Fuel Tank

PM sent.

So would I have to do some mods like Faster57 did to make it fit correctly if I bought this from you?

Thanks everyone for your help so far.

Re: Larger Fuel Tank

this web site has tank dimensions
http://www.gastanks.com/1994-96-Subu...ctinfo/GM-43B/

there are lots of places just google chevy gas tank. you will have to do some measuring and some fabrication of brakets..
