Info on buying 1960 1/2 ton cab mount kit?

I need to replace the cab mount bushings on my 1960 Chevy Apache. Has anyone used the kit from the Truck and Car Shop in Orange, Ca? Any other vendors recommended?

I haven't, but from what I have purchased....the quality is there and I wasn't ripped off like I am when I look at LMC.

I don't know about the Truck and Car Shop but from what I have seen and heard about other vendors, if you are looking for ones for a 60-62 some modification will be required. When I had mine installed they needed to be cut shorter and the bolts for 2 of the mounts were the wrong length. I do not know any more than that because I did not do the install.

I bought this from classic parts.
(1963-66) Cab Mount Kit-C10-PolyItem Number:*35-131
It work great on my 60 apache10.
You cannot use the bolts came with the kit as they are too short for 60-62.
Use your old bolts or buy the new one.

60 Apache, thanks for your reply. I read some of the post and noted that some trimming might be necessary and the 2 front bolts are too short in the standard 60-66 cab mount kits. See attached 60-66 cab mount kit. I checked my existing cab mounts and they are square as opposed to the round ones in the standard cab mount kits. Did yours look like mine? Mine almost look like 1959 Chevy Apache cab mount bushings. I wonder if the 1960 Chevy Apache 1/2 ton bushings are obsolete. Anybody shed some light on this?

The kit you have on the right side of screen is what i just got. Mine is a 66 the back bolts are too big. I will need to use my old ones. I dont know why they cant get it right?

The mounts do seem different on the 60-62 they are square and one is thicker than the other, interested to know how well the aftermarket works as well

the 60-66 chevy trucks have been the bastard trucks with the aftermarket for a while.and the 60-62s are the bastards of the group now......but its getting much better...especially in the past few years.

Yeah, unfortunately that is true, but not a big problem and it will get done.

Runningiron,
Mine was square like your truck. I guess the front cab mount are thinner than rear because collapsed.
This urethane mount work fine on my 1960 apache 10 short bed stepside.
No need to trim or cut anything at all. Just have to follow the bush number as mentioned in the instruction.
My concern is only have to use original bolt because the one in the kit is shorter for 60-62.

By the way, is your truck original 710A Tartan turqouise? This is one of my favorite color of 1960. I'm going to paint my truck this color too.

60 Apache, thanks for the part # and info. With regards to the color of my truck, unfortunately it had been painted a couple of other colors, but my favorite color for that truck is the turquoise. I am in the process of doing all the mechanical work first and the turquoise paint last. Thanks for the paint code #, it really looks good on those years trucks. By the way there is vendor that sells some pretty cool t shirts, you can find it on hotrodavenue.com. Here is a t shirt you might like. Thanks again.

Is your front clip all put together also? The problem I had was my cab ended up much higher than my cor support. So we had to trim down the cab mounts to match up with the new cor support mounts.

Forestb, no my frontend is off. I will be replacing my radiator support bushing so I will work from there and see what I need to do.

Thank for replying but my question was more aimed at 60_Apache. I wanted to make sure that the cab mounts that he used worked with the height of his front end.
