Screw sizes

I have misplaced the screws for the Backup light lens and the tail light lenses. Can some body tell what size they so i can go pickup some at my local hardware store.

They are an 8-32 thread, 1 1/4" long pan head screw I would take one of the lenses with you to make sure the hardware store screw heads fit into the recess in the lens.

Back in those days, GM liked to use #8 screws with #6 size heads for a lot of the trim. You might like to check one of the on-line suppliers to see if they did that with the exterior parts as well.

LocDoc I purchased some stainless steel 8-32 x 1 1/4" pan head screws. I didn't get a chance to try them out last night. I will try them out tonight. I will keep you posted.
