I ALSO CAME ACROSS ANOTHER TRUCK WITH THE GLOVEBOX NUMBER CS 147B118112 THESE NUMBERS DO NOT CONTAIN ALL THE DIGITS FOR THE VIN CODE SHEETS I HAVE SEEN PLEASE HELP WHERE CAN I FIND THE VIN NUMBERS I AM LOKING FOR BOTH TRUCKS ARE 67 LONG BEDS ONE SUPPOSEDLY HAS A 327 ENGINE IN IT BUT THE CODE SAYS IT WAS A 6 CYL(NO TRANS) WHERE CAN I FIND THE NUMBERS ON AN OLD 327 TO SEE IF IT REALLY IS A 327 I DONT THINK THE ENGINE IS ORIGINAL THANKS |

I believe the second digit signifies the engine type. S = 6 cyl.
The vin # is on the plate on the driver side pillar door. I have a 67 that I am selling, and my original plate is on the door pillar, just like the 68-72.
