What's with the red top on the interior. Was that stock for 69?
And what's with the plain side marker lamps on a CST? Was that correct for a 69 CST model also?

That didn't take long to get flipped. There are pics on the forum of this same blazer when it was advertised on CL. The red interior on the top is correct for 69 for sure and I suspect the base marker lamps are too. Here are pics of another red 69 that IIRC was also listed in OR (or WA) on CL concurrently with the one shown here that show the same red interior and base marker lamps.

I think a thread dedicated to the 69 MY would be a good resource. You could get a factory rear step bumper on a 69 K5.

I have a blazer listed as a 70 but its a late 69/early 70. It has no drip rail protectors. The black rubber that screws to the top and door jamb. No holes . I noticed on this one the same thing. When did GM start installing them

I think the red hub dials are correct for 69 blazer. Blue after that. Gmc 3/4 ton also had red dials around 69-70. I think 71-72 were all blue in 1/2 or 3/4 ton. Yellows were 73 and up.

What is that switch behind break pedal? Looks like a high beam switch but then again the high beam switch is spotted in another picture by the kick panel like my 71.

I noticed that also, I have a passenger door off a 69 and I just thought that it was a cut down truck door but now I think maybe not.

It is actually faded 514 Red. 516 is a basic Orange.
Correct code for "Hugger Orange" or "Red Orange" is 524 and it wasn't available till 1970.

If the fuel tank was a factory option I would expect to see it called out on the spid which it isn't, however, I am not a spid expert.

I would think the tank is a dealer install or aftermarket. Perhaps those with a lot more knowledge on '69s will chime in.

I noticed the paint error as well and messaged the seller this afternoon but he has yet to change it.

The extra high beam switch in the floor could be for the fog lamps. Kind of odd but who knows

Tank looks to be Aero 40 gal. I have same looking deal.Mounts thru bed floor.Had to cut and pound out long bolts rusted up.

Very nice Blazer...but he's stretching it a bit to say its original because it has had a bit of work done and changed here and there.
It's got a set of 186 (double bump) heads on it, which didn't come on the truck 350's....but in actual fact they are a great (power/torque) upgrade over the stock heads and offered more compression and flow.
As well, the air cleaner is not original...and the intake with the front load oil may not be either.

Regardless...I don't want to put it down, it is a very nice truck compared to a lot of blazers which seem to have been beat to death.

What was it originally posted for on Craigslist?.....looks like its at $30 now on ebay.

At $40k now. I'd be a little Leary with the story too, figuring it was a 307 when new, definitely had an engine swap along the way. I see nothing great about it for $40k, especially with the frame looking the way it does. Front floor boards look ready to let loose with rust as well. P.T. Barnum said it well. Did they come from the factory with overspray in the wheel wells and underside of hood?, Just wondering cause my '70 has it also

That price is ridiculous for that one - way more than it is worth. Not 'all original' by any stretch.

Nice Blazer, but 2x more than it is worth.
