Another LED headlight thread (GMC)

I did a search and a lot of the results are towards the GM lights that include links to either very expensive LED headlights or ebay links that are expired.

I am looking to convert all 4 headlights of my 1972 GMC to LED at a reasonable price. If you have bought a kit off ebay or amazon, can you please post the link? Thanks kindly.

Do a search for Low beam bulb number is a H5006 and High beam number is a H5006. Or look for 5 3/4" round head light.

I did HID, I can help with that, but I have not done LED. Let us know what you come up with!

Re: Another LED headlight thread (GMC)

Just fyi do some research before you pull the trigger. The led lights appear bright infact they are quite blinding to on coming traffic. But youtube vidoes will show that the brightness is close to the front of the vehical they actually dont project out as well as hid or halogens. Most people find the behind the wheel performance not as good for true drive through the country night driving. And most people passing people with them find them not desirable to look at. I love leds for everything but headlights. But thats just my .02

Re: Another LED headlight thread (GMC)

Just did mine. Bought the lights off eBay, I'll try and find a link. I wanted something that looked more original than some of the newer LED's. Then I used new H4 LED Cree bulbs from eBay. These where around $30 per pair. Big difference in light output. All in around $120. Some more pics on my build thread.

Z10 I actually I remember seeing your thread when I did a search last week. Please post the links to the items once you find them. Thanks

I will also consider HID so please post some links of where you bought yours. I just want something that is far superior then the 45 year old OEM headlights but that won't annoy upcoming traffic.

By the way, I have 24v military grade LEDs on my 6x6 5 ton military truck and these lights are just awesome to have so I guess it depends how lucky you are in finding appropriate LED headlights. Generally I am not a luck guy so that is why I need recommendations
