Are Monroe 58241 and 58578 coil spring shocks ok for a 1976 C10 daily driver?
I'm about to order some shocks for our 1976 C10. I was thinking about ordering Monroe 58241 and 58578 coil over type shocks they offer for heavy loads and towing.

Are there any issues getting the coil spring shocks compressed and into place? Thanks in advance, Wes

I would advise against them, I've purchased trucks before that have had those style of shocks, and they feel like pogo sticks with no load in the bed. Very uncomfortable ride. I prefer the Gas Magnum shocks, I have them on my truck right now.

I have these on my 77 short-bed now and they feel pretty nice to me. Although compared to what I had before (blown-shocks) these are heaven sent!
