Question 68 3/4 lwb 4x4 to swb?

I have a long wheel base 68 3/4 ton 4x4 and i want to shorten the frame into a swb. i have a spare shortbed, bed and want to make a 68 swb with 3/4 ton suspension.

Has anyone completed such a project and how much of the frame should i cut and from where shoud i cut it?

How do you guys join the frame again, plates and welding, screws or combo of both?

thanks! for any help.
