1971 K10 - The jalopy
This truck is anything but a jalopy, but that's my wife's name for it. The trade of my late model truck for a worn out commuter car and the K10 has left her in utter confusion
I've owned this truck for a few months with almost nothing working on the instrument cluster. It got hot one day (which is fixed now), but I'm never comfortable driving without a working temp gauge. I've struggled with the decision of finding individual wiring problems vs a whole new wiring job. I've finally decided to go for all new wire. I received my kit today. Ive never done a job like this. I have other fixes in mind too and I thought I'd start a thread to document the progress. I've been reading this site a lot, and y'all have helped me more than you know. Hope to return the favor as I gain more knowledge about these trucks. |
