Scrap Race Truck to Race Truck The Sequel
Hey, some of you may have been following my other thread documenting our build of a scrap yard resurrection into a race truck.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=715255 Well the boys loved it so much they wanted their own truck to race. We came across this truck sitting in a field rotting away. It had been a track champion over twenty years ago until it was retired after a bad collision with a wall. $300 later and we were into another build. It was badly twisted, the rear frame needed to be cut out and replaced. The drive train had long since disappeared and so had most of the race gear. It was a rotten shell with a cage. Track trials are a month away so we have a lot of work to do but with 6 pairs of hands on it it might make it. |
