Lifting a cab and front clip with a 2 post lift??

Has anyone lifted a complete cab, doors, and entire front clip off the frame in one piece with a 2 post lift? it sounds like it would work other than being front heavy. Thanks

If you rigged it properly with 3 points one at bed, cab, and under fenders where the inners mount I'd think it wouldn't be a problem. Hard part would be to get it evenly distributed.

Re: Lifting a cab and front clip with a 2 post lift??

I use my two post lift to change frames all the time. I did a truck once and left on the front and removed the A/C compressor and sat it in the battery box cause it had stupid cold air and I didn't want to break it down like I normally do.
Last week I used my lift to place a LS motor in a 69 frame,it is nice to raise up the motor 1 inch or so when you are working with slider mounts deciding where the best placement is. In this case it was where the stock driveshaft fit.
I say it can and has been done and the great part of using the lift is you can go super slow and if you want to stop at any point to take a break you are not under any strain at any time. Over the last 30 years I've been building wrecks I've tried every thing possible to raise cabs off trucks that are getting new frames and the two post lift is by far the best.

I have done it several times as well.
I lift at the cab corner, and front fender cup. Never had any problems!

Thanks, That's exactly what I was looking for. Do you have any pics of where you lifted it at the cab corner?

Here is the best pic I could find. I lift right under the pinchweld, at the curve.
