What are your thoughts rcsb. 2000
I own 2 disassembled trucks 91 rclb. 4.3 5spd.130k Rust repaired box painted. Spindles hangers shackles installed. Need assembly and brake lines fixed. (Pinched behind gas tank tightening spring hanger bolts). 68 sbss. 2000 4.8 4l60. Totally disasembled.
Looking for daily driver. No longer want to drive 04 impala. I found at dealer 2000 short fleet 5.3 104k miles CLEAN lowered roll pan fiberglass cover. Ugly aftermarket wheels. $6k. Yes/no. Just assemble 91 and drive impala |

That's a good looking 2000! In all honesty it sounds like the 67 would go along way with your 91. Plus you already have a driver. So to answer your question, I would put that money towards your 91 and 68. I've done this before; looking back I could've done alot of nice things to my other rides at the time..

Re: What are your thoughts rcsb. 2000
you are probably correct. 91 is mostly labor away from driving. plan for stepside is red oxide SPI epoxy on everything but box put 4.8 in make run drive... i may be overmy head. if the right ## came along i would sell it.

Re: What are your thoughts rcsb. 2000
6k for a 2000 SB with a 5.3 is a bit steep considering it's been modded so I'd try to get them down to 5K and that's only if it runs & shifts great with no CEL's and passes an inspection and smog test.
Keep that 68 and you'll have 2 mean looking Short Boxes. Sell the 91 for some build $$$ to spend on the 68. |

Re: What are your thoughts rcsb. 2000
wife said tune the truck.... i had Czipar Performance tune it yesterday with hp tuners. big improvement however he told me the fuel pump is weak. said replace pump and bring it back so we can perfect the tune. on the 2 1/2 hr drive there i got 19 mpg. before tune. after tune may be worse it scoots for a heavy truck.
