Emblem Question
I'm curious on what determined what fender emblems went on a truck? I have a 71 GMC K1500. My emblems are "1500 V-EIGHT". My truck has all the options that would make a Chevy a Custom Deluxe. The GMC emblem choices are: Grand Sierra, Sierra, Super Custom, Custom and the 1500 V-EIGHT. Seems like the appropriate emblem for my truck would have been "Custom". I do have the "Custom" emblems in script on the doors. My resto/rebuild will have my truck approx 90% stock, I want the correct emblems, but I guess vanity is making me want to put "Custom" emblems on the fenders.

Re: Emblem Question
Don't know GMC well but would the spid on the glove box door not reflect the package? I know some one with GMC knowledge will chime in. Good luck with the truck sounds like a nice one.

Re: Emblem Question
My 71 had the same emblems in the same places as yours. Mine was a custom, and the custom emblem was on the doors. The fenders had the 1500 V8 emblems. My guess is that yours is correct.

Re: Emblem Question
Thanks for the info. My guess is that your guess is correct and the
1500 V-EIGHT are the correct fender emblems.
