Driver side brackets on BBC

I'm trying to find a power steering bracket and an alternator bracket that will work together on the drivers side of the motor (454 BBC). Do any of you have them? and if so what kind? Thank you in advance for any information/suggestions.

Depends on your water pump.
Long or short?
Mike.

Are you running a/c on the passenger side? I run a short pump on my bbc with a/c on the passenger side. My alternator runs off the double pulley on my power steering unit both on driver side.

CPP sells the 68-71 big block power steering setup. It is same as 65-68 Chevelle. You can also run the Chevelle or 67-68 Camaro big block alternator bracket.

I just pieced all this together for my '69 that I'm swapping 427 into. I went with 67-68 375hp 396 pulleys which are deep groove high perf.

Look in the for sale section. They come up often. The factory 68-72 mounts will work if you are looking for a factory setup. The factory pump did have a remote reservoir so that might be required when doing the change.

Re: Driver side brackets on BBC

The CPP kit I mentioned above comes with the wide mount bracket and the pump housing with the remote reservoir. Even comes with a hose.

Re: Driver side brackets on BBC

I got Alan Grove compressor mounts for my old 68 BBC truck years ago. Very stout, simple and well made. I wouldn't hesitate to use their stuff again.
