Crossmember circular marks normal?
My front engine cross member was bent by the previous owner. I bought another one from a member on this board who is local.
I finally cleaned all of the grime and debris off of the one I bought and notice some circular press type marks. It looks to me like they are factory but wanted to get your guys opinions. My other cross member does not have one. they looks to me from a press that pressed the top and bottom of the cross member together? Are they different through out the years? thanks |

Re: Crossmember circular marks normal?
there willbe smaller spot welds holding those brackets to the xmember...if you drill those out you can re-use the ones off your old one...or if you're doing a disc conversion those brackets could be in the wrong location anyway
