Ord steering box frame repair 67-72
Any body have pictures of the ord frame plate kit on a 67-72? I got the kit in the mail today to fix the cracks in my frame and it doesn't fit worth a crap. I know it's intended for a square body but the site says it will work with the 67-72 trucks as well. It's gonna take a lot of work to get the lower plate right and the bottom rear corner of the side plate is way off too. Post up what you got! Thanks!

Re: Ord steering box frame repair 67-72
I had a link to this article. I considered one last time my box was out. But I never pulled the trigger because I have not actually seen a crack. Hope someone can chime in for you.

I put one on mine a long time ago. No big wup. Just cut to fit. A little opening up of one of the holes near a rivet if I remember right. No pics as it is assembled now.

JJ- That's about what I figured. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything, because everything is way different on the bottom plate. I'll fire the plasma up and do some trimming...

Re: Ord steering box frame repair 67-72
There is also one that goes between the frame rails and connect to the rear side of the steering box. That one looks to be quite strong as well. Both together would prove to be very unlikely to have a failure. Although I have been pleased with just the plate unit. My frame started out with no cracks. I then totaled the truck bending the frame and front springs. Still no cracks at the plate. Cut it off and installed it on my other truck. SOlid performance.
