lost power

i`m after losing alot of power in my truck.i replaced map sensor,o2 sensor,heat sensor,plugs and wires,and the fuel filter.i just checked the egr valve and the hose coming out of the tbi that goes to a sensor that hose is fine.the hose coming out of the sensor that goes to the egr valve is not sucking at all.can someone tell me if this is my problem if not what else can i check.thanks.

The EGR should only recieve vacumme at cruise. So at idle you will feel no vacumme.

What kind of truck?

87 gmc 4x4 350 tbi.what about when i rev the engine should it do it then.

The computer usually will delay the EGR opening for a few seconds to be sure user power demand is at a minimum. This way you normally don't even know it is taking place. The EGR valve not opening will NOT cause lack of power. A valve which is stuck open will however. You can manually open and close most valves using you fingers to check if it opens. On the back side of the valve you should be able to feel "windows" where you can feel the plate which moves. Try opening it when the truck is ideling to see if the engine stumles. (be carefull, it will get hot)

thanks for the help guys.i took it to a mechanic today and he told me these engines are known for the shaft on the distributer to wear.and sure enough that`s the problem.thanks.
