Anyone near South Lake Tahoe to look at a truck for sale?

I am looking at a 1969 Chevy 4x4 short stepside truck. In the photos it is very rusty on the can and bed and rear fenders. I had a family member who lives just a few blocks from the house look at the truck but all they could do was try to send decent photos. The photos did not work out and the owners photos are not much better. The owner's father bought the truck new in Oregon so it was exposed to salt at some time and the owner (the guy's son) is not very knowledgeable. Right now I am strongly considering the truck only if the frame is decent and it drives OK. The truck is on the road and he drives it but I think it will need a new cab and whole bed and more. Not sure about front fenders and doors. Then it needs to get delivered here to upstate NY.I have arrived at a price with this fellow but it is subject to one more lookover by someone who knows these trucks Please PM me if you can help. Or call at 607-547-2903, George. Thank you kindly!

George, Wish I was there and could help. We used to stop at Tahoe in the 60's on the way to my grandparents in Sonoma Ca. You could see a white dinner plate 100 feet down in that water. I have never seen a clearer lake ! Good luck.

Thanks for your thoughts Ironmike. Anyone in South Lake Tahoe got a few moments free today on Father's Day.
