I have one of these and very happy about it! Anyone restoring a 4x4 should be in the market for this item.

Smile Re: 1969 K10 4x4 skid plate

i've got a few of those in storage from my "parting out" days. just an extra piece of info- if you remove the little skid plate, the crossmember is the same as the one used with the 70-72 factory skid plate the protects the t-case. there is a board member that made up a bunch of factory looking 70-72 skid plates a few years back and i bought 5 of them from him and plan on using the 67-69 crossmember like the one sharpie has. i compared the crossmember to my factory 72 unit and it's identical. not trying to hijack sharpie's post, just adding a little bit of info.

Re: 1969 K10 4x4 skid plate

Does anyone have a picture of the correct transfer case skid plate for a 70-72?
Thanks
Ron

Re: 1969 K10 4x4 skid plate

i haven't hooked up my camera since i got my computer out of the shop so i can't post pics. maybe try doing a search of older posts. it is basicly a thick steel plate with a little wahoo in it between the trans crossmember and the second crossmember, underneath your 205.

Sharpie-
Thanks for the pictures.
That clears up all questions.
