THE 2 BOLTS ON THE TOP RIGHT FOR THE FENDER BY THE DOOR HAD BOLTS SPINNING, TOOK A DRILL AND DRILLED THE HEADS OF THE BOLTS OFF, DID I SCREW UP? OR CAN I GET THE REST OF THE BOLTS OUT OF THE BACKSIDE? THESE 2 HOLES WHERE NOT THREADED SO IT HAPPENED TO THE PREVIOUS OWNER 2.

I'm not exactly sure where your talking about but some of the bolts have speed nuts on them.

stripped bolts
Hey,
You may wanna try nut-serts. These things are real neat. The tool looks kinda like a pop-rivet gun.It has different threaded ends you put in it,the same size as your bolts. Then you screw on the end w/the nut-sert.It looks kinda like a top hat and is aluim.w/threads in the middle. You drill the hole in the body the same size as the outter part of the nut-sert.Put the nut-sert on the end of the tool.slide it in the hole you drilled and sqeeze the handle of the tool and the nut-sert squeezes itself between the sheet metal. An instant threaded hole. They are not expensive at all. I think you can buy them at like in a grainger catalog or mc master-carr. they save me alot of trouble. Hope i can help Tom |
