Re: With or without brush guard
I still see the grille perfectly and don't see it competing with the lines in any way. It's very minimal in mass which makes it perfect for not cluttering or clouding the front end. With the one painted white I feel it does play interference with your eyes making out the grille's own lines. The trim on the grille helps as well as the chrome bumper. It's not like a flatbed dual wheel high sitting 4wd drive with west coast mirrors and cab lights is trying to look sleek or super clean. Truck appears mighty clean and well proportioned for a flatbed. Something the guard will only help. If you decide to remove, just offer the bumper with the guard and go ahead with that winch bumper the truck really needs for that winch it really needs

Re: With or without brush guard
A set of hooks would really compliment the front end.
I love what you did too this truck. From what it was when you found it.thats a good one there. Bumpers are fairly cheap and it seems chrome ones are dime a dozen drill the holes get the rite color on it and mount it up. I agree on the 67-8 grills they have perfect lines. The guard will help it stay that way. Even though I'm sure it'll never be abused hard enough to actually benifit from it.
