ECE KYB Shocks
I am looking at the 2/4 spring drop from ECE. for my 67 C10 2wd pickup. Considering I can't do spindles until I convert to disc brakes up front, this will work in the mean time.
ECE gets $35/each for their KYB shocks. Does anyone have the specs on the KYB shocks made for their 2/4 drop setup? (measurements, etc) I'm thinking I can get shocks for a 1978-83 Malibu/Lemans for this application. Thanks. |

PM member IRONBUTTLCMC here on the board. When I installed my ECE lowered KYBs, I wrote down the KYB part numbers and sent them to him for his truck. Summit currently has KYBs on big sale too, so if you can call with the part numbers, you should be good to go.

Instead of KYB you might want to consider Doeschte tech shocks. Don't quote me on the spelling.Summit racing carries them. I'm not knocking the KYBs', But these shocks are a tighter shock more suitable for lowered trucks. Just my opinion.

If you check eBay, there is a guy that is always selling those KYB's for just about any car for $27.50 a pair.

I'm not interested in KYBs specifically, just the proper dimensions for a 2/4 coil spring drop to buy another brand locally (and much cheaper too)

Oh well, I just got off the phone with ECE and ordered the entire 2/4 kit. I'd rather get everyting I know will bolt right up the first time
Thanks for the help. |

I am ordering ece 6" drop springs for the rear and 1 1/2"drop springs for the front(w/drop spindles). I want to use kyb gas-a-just shocks rather then the kybs that they sell. Anybody know the shock part number of ece's so I can cross reference them to the Gas-a-justs? I need to order right away for delivery next week. Help.
