How many of you have a functioning emergency brake?

I'm installing mine with the wilwood d154 rear brake kit. Think of it this way, we are always doing work on our trucks. If for some reasons your brakes fail, you a have leak...etc, it will be there to help you stop, if not at the minimum it could save you and your truck. It not called an emergency brake for nothing.

I have the 67 hand ebrake and use it all the time with my 4-speed. NH vehicle inspection requires them to work but I have never seen them check them.

I have a 3 speed and use mine every time I park it. In my auto Jeep daily driver it gets used once a year, when it has to function to pass safety inspection. On my 4 speed Corvette, it's never worked, and I keep telling myself i need to fix that, although my understanding is e-brakes on 70's Corvettes never worked good, even when new.

I have an automatic and use it everytime I park. Even in the garage. Just habit i guess.

It not actually an "Emergency" brake. It's a "Park" Brake. Though it will help you get the truck stopped in an emergency, it is intended to be engaged while the truck is stopped. (How many of you pull a hand break to stop a car?)
Using the "Park Brake keeps the weight of the truck off the tangs that drive the front pump. Over time these tangs can wear, or break and cause costly damage to the transmission.

I use mine whenever I am stopped on an incline and don't want to shut the motor off.
