Bucket Seat Track Return Spring Question
I searched the forum, but couldn't find instructions on how to remove the little springs that hold the seat adjuster cogs on the frame tracks. I see that you can compress the spring and turn the eyelet a little bit. I can't get it to release the spring. Any tricks, or am I missing something?

Re: Bucket Seat Track Return Spring Question
I took 4 or 5 of them off to paint and discovered that they are two different sizes so if you have a longer one it might be compressing the cog or retainer more than a short one will. Keep pressing down on the retainer end of the spring with a wood dowel until you can get the retainer to move, and then you should be able to wiggle it around enough to disengage it from the bucket seat track pawl. Make sure that the assembly is not aimed at your face while doing this! I have my parts cleaned and painted now and am really not looking forward to re-assembling them.
