grease for sway bar

I just applied some red Lucas Gear grease on my bushings for my front sway bar. I am not sure it was the right thing to use. Will that work fine or should I apply something else? Also how tight should I torque down the bolts that go through the bushings? It is a 1977 front end with a 77 sway bar.

Re: grease for sway bar

All I ever put on mine was a little soapy water when I installed them to make it easier to get them to go together. I just pull my bolts up tight.
