I've used some peel and seal type stuff in a more modern car to see how much difference it made. It didn't seem to make that much difference, but that car already had sound deadener from the factory. I imagine it would make more difference on an old truck. I did have a few small sheets of dynamat I put on my C1500 a few years ago, but that didn't seem to do much either. My eventual goal is to pull the original seat and rubber mat from my truck and use dynamat in a larger area then install an ACC carpet with mass backing. I will also put more dynamat in the doors. I think that will bring down the noise level enough to cruise quietly at highway speeds.
