Oh yes, I remember it well. Now, who are you? I see your join date is before mine but the name doesn't ring a bell.

Re: Ten years ago. Who remembers this thread?
I was searching through his old threads looking for something and ran in to that one.
We had a longhorn man second trip too. And we had a Brad deal out at the farm too ... Maybe it was part of the same get together? Don't remember, just remember it was another fun time haha!

Yes
It was an epic LHM adventure I remember one of his adventures where there was a mysterious glob of something stuck to one of the planks of his flatbed for many miles

Re: Ten years ago. Who remembers this thread?
I didn't find this site until about a year later. Funny how that works. I had built several trucks, but back then everything was passed along through Hemmings or at swap meets.
I had put my trucks away, and built some Chevelles and a Corvette, then my son in law started wanting a 72 Blazer. I found this site, but was still working at the time, and didn't participate for a few more years.

Re: Ten years ago. Who remembers this thread?
I didn't find this site until 2012. But I read through it and wish I was here then. Even now I have made great friends here. Even though I haven't met most of them in person.

Re: Ten years ago. Who remembers this thread?
All I know is there was some sort of fall out with another forum member he was close with and he quit cold turkey. Never came back. And no, his last posts don't give any clues as to who or why, I looked
Rumor has it he's on the facespace, but I never knew his (Andy's) last name.

Re: Ten years ago. Who remembers this thread?
I don't recall this thread, but I did meet Brad, a few years ago. He was pulling active duty with the Air Guard out of DMAFB, by assisting Border Patrol [ICE, now] as a paramedic patrolling around Nogales and the Tohono O'odam Reservation.
He came over, checked out my rigs, shot the sh!t about Old Chevy Trucks, had a few beers... We invited him to a BBQ at my buddy's place in Catalina, had a great time again. Then his deployment was up. I got a call from him one morning, he was at Tucson International Airport, about to board a plane for the Northwest, and he wanted to give me a load of .40 caliber ammo he couldn't take back. I got the call too late. [Work nights, sometimes.] After that a few Hey Howdy-s on this site, then he sold his Chevy trucks and faded off into the sunset, I guess. Too bad. Nice guy. He was an asset to our organization.

Re: Ten years ago. Who remembers this thread?
Yeah, I remember it even though I forgot my wife's name a while back (after working in the hot sun for 10hours).
Also remember the Berencam wreck, and the floor-safe that could not be opened (ITOY?). -BA

Re: Ten years ago. Who remembers this thread?
This was a great thread but not so good as the one where he and Someone (Brain fart) went to get the wagon. The start of that trip made it a must follow. IIRC He had a kid and got busy and kind of drifted away.

Re: Ten years ago. Who remembers this thread?
Mike knows what happened. Its not something that really needs to be shared on the board.
Like was mentioned earlier with the advent of the all the other ways of sharing online it has really watered down message boards. Even our local swap meet has been watered down. We used to have a really big board turnout. We had a banner, a card board cut out of Longhorn Man lol. Lots of folks showed up even if they weren't buying and selling. More and more comments like ... Oh I wish I could come but, insert excuse here. Anyway back to Andy. I miss his presence here. Knew a lot about our trucks. Had a good sense of humor. And pretty thick skin when he got teased =)
