to all brake guru's
one of the guys here is needing to replace his brake booster and the parts guy didn't know which one he needed (go figure).
he has a 71 short bed 350/350 disc's up front. He was told he needed either a Delco or Bendex (sp). which one will he need and what is the difference. TIA

delco and bendix are brand names that parts will be the same just from differnent vendors. just like rebuilt and new delco will most likley me new and more expensive and bendix will be reman and cheaper (but still good quailty)

Totally wrong....
Do a search, the boosters are different. GM used two different suppliers of the original part and they are not interchangable. Again, do a search, plenty to read on this subject.

There is a difference the master cylinders are different too they even look different. The parts house had both in stock so I could match it. Try to see which master cylinder he has then I am pretty sure he will have the same company booster.

I did search brake booster but no real info on the two came up and didn't even think about searching "delco and bendix " (which would have made more sense in the begining)
