Resurrecting my 46 chevy truck on an s10 frame in the uk

Well hi all not sure we're to start but here goes.
We bought this truck around 12 years ago from what I thought was a great guy
Are that was wrong.
It was sold as a half ton truck,
But after decoding the vin code turns out to be 2 ton cab and fenders.
The frame was too wide that it had been put from memory think it was c10 frame.
So after all these years sitting in the workshop it's time for me to start the build.

This truck is going to be for my good lady as she has been bugging me me for
The last six months too do it lol as they do.

But here's the twist it's our 25th wedding anniversary in September
So it's being done for her as a surprise gift when we have our vows renewed.

As we are in the uk it's not so easy to find parts any information,
So any info any tips would be great.

Looking for some measurements as to we're cab mounts fit to the s10 frame,
And the mounts themselves.

the 2 ton cab is the same as a 1/2 ton, and those look at first glance to be 1/2 ton fenders too, need to see from the side. Unless your dept of vehicles wants to title it as a 2 ton GVWR (costs more to run in the US) I would say just use the 4600 lb GVWR of the 1/2 ton and go truckin.

Well here goes could anyone give me guidance as to we're the best place is to source cab and fender parts,
Looking for some pics on the windshield opener mechanism.
And the cowl opener thanks Pete

windshield regulators are expensive even not working, rebuilt they can get to almost $500. if you are missing the windshield frame as well you might consider the bent stationary glass and seal that some companies offer, it costs less than just a rebuilt regulator. I havent used it myself, but I have seen some trucks with a google image search that have the glass and it doesnt look bad at all. it wont open, but thats a small price. My new windshield frame with glass was almost $800 and the regulator rebuild will be ~200.

if you need interior cab parts, my recommendation is to buy a spare cab that has everything, because those parts get a premium and everyone knows it. I have parted cabs on ebay and sold the bare cab local, you never can convince someone your asking price for a complete cab is fair, I dunno why, but they will spend 60% on a stripped cab while the parts and pieces will cost them 200% more later.

for new parts I use bowtie bits because they are local and Jeff is a dynamite human being. they also rebuild old parts and sell NOS stuff from dealers, so I love going in there. I even bought my shop radio there, it was a dealer Delco display.

I wish I could find a cab in the uk but the chances of that are very scarce,
Think I would have more chance of me growing wings lol.
Windshield frame is not that bad I can repair that but I am look for both rubbers for it.
Fender gaskets, head light gaskets door seals and door bumpers.
Handles and a door lock.

rechroming around here costs about the GDP of fiji. I met a guy this week who said his chrome bill for his 46 was over 5k!
