1966 gmc 4000
I have a 1966 GMC 4000 /4speed/2sp axel Truck has a 305C engine. Can anyone tell me what type air cleaner would have come with this truck when new? TIA

Most likely would be an oil bath type. You might try asking these guys for a picture or more specific information:

Thanks Bob!. That is the question that I wanted answered. Did the factory make the decision to put either an oil bath or paper filter set up in these trucks and if so what were the parameters? Mine is missing and want whats best for the truck,

In those days an oil bath type air cleaner was better in dusty conditions than a paper type, and fleets liked the oil bath because when they got dirty you just cleaned them and changed the oil. Pickups usually had a paper type air cleaner standard with an oil bath optional, and trucks larger than a 30/3500 series would have an oil bath standard.
