Re: Porterbuilt 1" forward control arms sway bar help
I went with Ride Tech's Musclebar and drill holes in the frame...

Given that N2TRUX has already had a Posi-link related failure on his 1/2 ton, I'm on egg shells w/my heavier 1-ton. So I bought a used PB spec'd Addco bar to swap over to. Sux..... For my dually, I had the original HD bar w/upgraded bushings, bought a Bell Tech bar only to find out it wouldn't work w/PB's arms, then got the MuscleBar but have the end link issue, only to get a PB spec Addco bar. That's > $800 invested just trying to get a front sway bar.

I have a set of Thorbecke Bros. a-arms on my blazer with a Ridetech MuscleBar. I assumed the Thorbecke a-arms were just copies of the Ridetech a-arms,... which I thought would work with any aftermarket C10 sway bar that utilized end links. I also thought the only "custom" sway bar from Porterbuilt was the Addco bar specifically made for the Dropmember equipped trucks,.... which would be alot narrower.

Re: Porterbuilt 1" forward control arms sway bar help
any more info. on this! I was wondering if I could just cut and re-weld the tabs on were they go for the eye links on (the control arms not the bar)? I got the pb control arms but I'm wondering if this would solve any issues

Re: Porterbuilt 1" forward control arms sway bar help
Yes, moving the mount location on the arms is an option. I'll be doing just that on mine as it already chewed up the bushings currently in use.

Re: Porterbuilt 1" forward control arms sway bar help
Have you been in contact with PB and asked what is going on? Did you already pay for it? If you are still waiting from over a year ago then some body dropped the ball. They are slow but not that slow.
