In my truck I'm fine with the factory 4 core, but for my LS car I'm running the old big block BeCool aluminum with a steam port return bung welded in and that works fine.

In fact, the fans rarely ever run as long as you're in some kind of motion. The LS motor sure seems to stress the cooling system less than the old big block did!

My fans hardly run as long as the truck is moving. The one fan will run as long as the AC is on but even then once moving it shuts off and the temp gauge and the scan gauge both read the same at 190*.
