Parked for nine years

Took my 1987 Chevy v20 for its maiden voyage after a 9 year slumber and lots of work and it still needs more work but at least it drivable now , when I bought it the engine was seized up tight because of water and rust in #2 cylinder we had to pull it in gear to break it free , I am pretty sure it was parked because of rusted out freeze plugs , I am pretty sure if would not have bought it it would have parted out or crushed .

Re: Parked for nine years

what a coincidence, my 84 sat 9 years when I decided i was tired of watching it sit there likely getting all kinds of emotional problems from neglect so I started the process and starting buying parts but first I had to hear that cam through those open headers. I rigged up some cables from my other truck to the connections on the 84 and poured a spray paint cap full of gas in the carb with a hose running into a Blitz gas jug and about 10 seconds on the key...........SHE RUNS!!
