Service Parts Identification Tag

Is anyone or any company reproducing the Service Parts tag that is located on the glove box door? I have a 69 CST that I bought recently but it is missing the id tag.

Awesome guys that is what I am looking for! Is there a way to verify options through VIN? Like for example my truck has bucket seats but without the SPID I have no idea if that was factory correct or added at a later date.

A build sheet hidden in the truck? There is no other way to know what options that it was sold with.

Bucket seat cabs had an additional reinforcement across the cab. That would be an indicator it was originally a bucket seat truck.

I see you're a fairly new member of the forum so here's the scoop. Acquaint yourself with the search feature here. With a little detective work you should be able to get pretty darn close to what should be on your SPID. Example - what options were included on the CST package? Are they on your truck? The bucket seats should have reinforcements under the cab where the seat mount bolts go through the floor both front and back. Are they buddy buckets or sport buckets with console? I don't know if the buddy buckets were available of a '69 CST but you can find out by searching this forum. Does it have a tilt column? Should be black from the factory, but a PO may have painted it at some point... What rear do you have? Don't Know? Search "what rear do I have?" Factory A/C? V8? P/S? P/B? Some are easy to answer, some you'll have to dig for.

Anyway, just a couple of examples. There are a bunch of smart rascals on this forum and the odds are, you won't be asking any questions that haven't been asked and answered many times before. But - if you can't find what you're looking for, ask these guys!

When you think you have a pretty good idea of how your truck was optioned, and you want to have the SPID made, Jeff can run a sanity check for you as to what SPID codes would be correct for your model year. You should be able to get a 90% solution if not more.

Original build information by VIN is not available for US produced/sold trucks until 1976/1977 model year.

For vehicles produced in Canada or produced in the US for Canadian consumption the information is available through GM of Canada.

So, if neither of those help: unless you can find a build sheet you'll just have to guess at what content is correct and make up your own list.
