Radius long fish plates to prevent stress-risers
I am currently building fish plates for my step notches and have heard that you want to radius the edges to decrease sharp angles to prevent stress-risers.
I have taken a look at a lot of fish plates and see some people doing it and others not. To anyone who fabricates - do you recommend this?

Yes, I radius the ends. I just make the ends a half circle ie. 4" plate = 2" radius
