New member, just bought a 71
Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself since I'm sure I'll have a few questions in the future.
I'm a big fan of junky longbeds. My last project was an 81 K10, but the body was in too nice of shape and it was a shortbed so I never liked it that much. I've always wanted a 67-72, they're my dream truck. I was browsing craigslist last week and someone had a beautiful 71 that was looking for trades, so I offered him my beater Sonoma with 240k I had picked up super cheap and he accepted! Picked it up on Saturday: Got it home and cleaned it up a bit, and I got an awesome truck. Interior is all there and in good shape (except for the seat), no holes in the floor, disc brakes, power steering, a little bit of rust in the corners but that's how I like them! It currently has a 350/TH350 but the engine is seized. Don't know about the trans. That doesn't matter though - I got a sweet deal on a 6.0/4L80 combo that should be shipping out next week! I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions, but I'll probably start a build thread once I get to work on it.

Sweet rig and welcome to the site from another Denver local. You can post up a new thread in the sub-forum "pickup projects and builds". Can't wait to see some more pics
