Re: Need help identifying PS brackets
So I guess the later big blocks did not have a separate fluid reservoir?

Re: Need help identifying PS brackets
I can not tell you anything about that bracket ,but the Pump is a early style bottle neck pump , I forget what year they changed to the pump with the more square type reservoir ,but I think is was prior to 69 ,
Yes 396 BB 68-72 had a separate reservoir # 68-14320 with compatable PS pump # 68=14203 that would be for 1/2 ton 2wd with 396 BB hope that helps |

Re: Need help identifying PS brackets
Those brackets are long water pump, small block. Cars probably use those 69-75 or so and trucks after 73.
The lower bracket bolts to the water pump with a through bolt and pivots. The through bolt uses the welded on nut. I think the adjustment bolt goes directly into the head. |

Re: Need help identifying PS brackets
So those two are all that is needed for the long water pump setup? I thought maybe 1 bracket was missing.
Thanks for the info!

Re: Need help identifying PS brackets
You are missing one bracket, it bolts to the front ex manifold bolt and the upper left motor mount bolt. The bracket provides the "nut" for the adjuster...if you are running headers you can fab a bracket from the front of the head.
