Re: 67 Camaro Build
[QUOTE=7dee2;9356314]Thanks, that is a good idea. Since the build thread is so far behind the actual build, I can tell you I ended up just using the OE pivot (from the donor car) with a new adjustable length rod and peddle.
You should post a pic of the differences. I didn't know or have forgotten (that's highly likely ) the pattern differences. Here is the differences, the 68 patter is a little more "fuzzy" or blurry, its not as a hard edge pattern. Pics are from SMS fabrics website. 68- 69-

EXCELLENT plan ! Ash trays are no longer part of any vehicle interior anyway. I do like the clean appearance too. I'll be eliminating them, if I ever get to do interior...seems years away yet. |

Re: 67 Camaro Build
Good to know info if I ever need to replace my original piece. Funny how the aftermarket stuff hooks up 180 of stock. I had a actuator valve for my headlight doors like that. Had to swap vacuum hoses on the ports for it to work right, lol. The next valve was then back to stock, go figure. I love my hideaway headlights but I have to swap that valve every couple years as the rubber diaphragm goes bad.

Re: 67 Camaro Build
This’ll work very well with the big block and tall valve covers, and no brake booster for the fitment win. I like the RS option (it looks so cool!), but early on, I decided not to hassle with it for this build—you know, with that whole Grumpy Toy III look we're going for.
I am starting to build out the heater box, the only OE parts are the fan and motor, wish me luck. And yes, I tested that old 66 date stamped blower motor again and it’s a peach! Using the same crappy foam gaskets (Repops kit that was also used on the Y-duct) that’ll work here also. After gluing I used some gorilla tape also to keep it in place.

Re: 67 Camaro Build
Nice snug fit for the heater core, so far so good.
